Description

  • Own the end-to-end production process for social content, from ideation and scripting to execution and performance analysis.
  • Concept and produce platform-native social content including short-form video, graphics, carousels, and post copy inspired by SoFi’s educational content.
  • Translate complex financial topics into clear, accurate, and engaging storytelling without sacrificing nuance.
  • Serve as an on-camera representative and recognizable voice for SoFi’s educational content on social platforms.
  • Collaborate with editors, designers, strategists, and Social/Community teams while maintaining creative ownership and accountability for final output.
  • Adapt content to platform-specific best practices across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit while maintaining a consistent educational voice.
  • Research unfamiliar financial topics quickly to build working expertise and ensure journalistic accuracy and objectivity.
  • Monitor social channels for audience feedback, questions, and trends and incorporate insights to inform future content and strategy.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience owning social content creation end to end, ideally for a brand, media company, or content-driven organization.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video, on-screen text/graphics, and copywriting across platforms.
  • Clear journalistic instinct: curiosity, rigor, objectivity, and the ability to explain complex topics simply.
  • Comfort being on camera and serving as a recognizable voice for educational content.
  • Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, and their performance metrics.
  • Data-informed mindset with experience iterating based on results and performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience creating or promoting educational, financial, or fintech content (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with organic and paid social strategies and newsletter growth/audience conversion funnels (nice to have).
  • Experience working in regulated industries or with compliance-reviewed content and proficiency with social publishing, analytics, and project-management tools (nice to have).
