Description

  • Review ID checks, verification of employment, payment details, and account information for accuracy before loan disbursement.
  • Review applications that require bank account verification in accordance with credit policies and procedures.
  • Contact members by outbound phone calls and emails when additional information is needed.
  • Provide responsive, professional customer service to internal partners and members throughout the funding process.
  • Work closely with the Review team to answer questions about loan entry, loan servicers, product types, and qualified education loans.
  • Review and process enrollment account updates and resolve payment issues related to SoFi’s At Work Program.
  • Use the knowledge base to find policy and procedure information as needed.
  • Document member interactions clearly and concisely in account notes.
  • Adapt to changing responsibilities based on business needs and member needs.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in the banking or financial services industry preferred.
  • Less than a 1% error rate for funding quality scores for internal candidates.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills to meet critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel required.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure while handling complex situations.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with co-workers, management, and members.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with strong analytical skills.
  • Credit, underwriting, and customer service experience with personal loans, student loans, or private student loan products in banking or financial services preferred.
  • College degree highly preferred but not required.
