Description

  • Manage and establish the structuring process for all securitizations, loan sales, and new products, including Intex file setup and creation of internal cashflow models.
  • Serve as the point person coordinating cross-functional internal teams (capital markets, treasury, product, credit risk, investor relations, legal, IT) and external parties (broker-dealers, investors, rating agencies) to design efficient transaction structures.
  • Analyze and quantify the economic impact of different funding avenues (ABS transactions, whole loan sales, warehouse financing, and bulk sales).
  • Validate and utilize third-party valuation agent credit assumptions and analytics to run internal fair market value analyses for SoFi’s managed pool of loans.
  • Monitor and maintain dashboards and spreadsheets that track ongoing performance of securitizations and other transactions.
  • Review and negotiate transactional terms in partnership with internal and external counsel through execution.
  • Collaborate with and provide strategic support to internal stakeholders including credit, legal, engineering, product, treasury, accounting, servicing, and finance.
  • Prepare content, communications, correspondence, and due diligence materials for external stakeholders including investors, lenders, rating agencies, data providers, law firms, trustees, custodians, and accounting firms.
  • Provide ad hoc support as needed for whole loan sales, asset-backed securitizations, new products, securities financing, unsecured lines of credit, and other financing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience desired, primarily in capital markets and ABS execution.
  • BS/BA in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a similar technical field.
  • Deep knowledge of Intex Dealmaker and Bloomberg.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear understanding of Rating Agency criteria and how they translate into transactional structures.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret financial contracts and knowledge of core documents and industry-standard transactional terms and best practices.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong technical and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience with lending or consumer credit products (mortgages, student loans, credit cards, personal loans) is a plus.
  • Previous experience with asset-backed securitization data sets and analytics (Bloomberg, Intex, DV01, etc.) is a plus.
