Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations and administrative activities of the Fraud Prevention & Detection Specialists according to established procedures and timeframes
  • Create, develop, and lead a team that reviews transaction alerts, KYC onboarding tasks, lending applications, and ad hoc assignments from Risk or Escalations teams
  • Analyze fraud patterns and trends to advise senior management and drive strategic decisions for fraud prevention and detection initiatives
  • Develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures to detect and prevent fraudulent activity
  • Collaborate with other departments and partner with member-facing teams to resolve issues, minimize losses, and ensure clear communication of fraud referrals and policies
  • Establish and ensure compliance with departmental standards and processes to increase production and accommodate work volumes toward enhanced customer satisfaction
  • Communicate significant issues and recommendations to Senior Fraud Management
  • Conduct team meetings to enhance teamwork, morale, and staff engagement
  • Handle special projects as assigned by management and create an open forum to iterate on risk and fraud policies

Requirements

  • 2+ years of fraud prevention and detection experience in banking, financial services, or related industries (required)
  • 1+ years of people management experience (highly preferred)
  • Proven experience in call center customer service
  • Knowledge of check, ACH, wire, debit/credit card and other payment channel operating rules
  • Working knowledge of bank operations, fraud industry trends and best practices, and federal and state banking regulations
  • Outstanding time management and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to apply sound judgment, effectively solve problems, and consistently determine fraudulent activity
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and process-oriented approach
