Description

Own the end-to-end quality process and build a repeatable QA automation framework.
Clarify requirements, document expected behavior, and align system behavior across client, end-user, and operations perspectives.
Author Cucumber/Gherkin scenarios and build JavaScript/TypeScript automation using a page object model.
Add missing data-test IDs to React code and validate database state with SQL.
Maintain automated tests as features evolve and contribute to requirements planning.
Perform exploratory testing, reproduce multi-step defects, and identify edge cases.
Flag compliance, regulatory, and security implications.
Improve test reliability, coverage, and release safety from an existing baseline.

Requirements

4+ years of QA or test automation experience, including hands-on JavaScript or TypeScript coding.
2+ years of BDD test authoring with Cucumber and Gherkin.
3+ years of web UI automation using a page object model, preferably Playwright.
2+ years of end-to-end QA ownership, including defining, documenting, building, and maintaining tests.
3+ years of requirements analysis and stakeholder communication.
2+ years of SQL querying with MySQL or PostgreSQL to validate database state.
3+ years of exploratory testing and precise multi-step defect reproduction.
Ability to independently drive automation and own the build with limited direction.
Strong attention to detail, including identifying edge cases and specification gaps.
Preferred: mobile or Flutter testing, Appium, React or other modern JavaScript frameworks, regulated-domain experience, healthtech experience, security/regulatory knowledge, or comfort using AI in engineering workflows.
