Description

  • Own and manage the migration backlog, ensuring alignment with migration readiness, commercial priorities, and risk reduction.
  • Translate gap analysis outputs into clearly defined epics, features, and user stories with agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritise “must-have” and “no-regrets” features required to migrate inventory and booking journeys onto the target platform.
  • Ensure all features are commercially justified by balancing value, cost, and delivery effort and aligning to business outcomes.
  • Work closely with engineering to shape solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term platform integrity.
  • Support and drive inventory and API migration efforts to ensure seamless integration into the target platform.
  • Partner with commercial, finance, and operations stakeholders to understand and manage impacts on revenue, cost of sale, settlement, reporting, and customer service.
  • Support planning and execution of phased migration and cutover strategies, including feature sequencing, dependency management, and parallel-run approaches to reduce commercial risk.
  • Provide clear visibility of progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to Product, Technology, and Delivery leadership.
  • Act as the day-to-day product lead to ensure alignment across engineering, delivery, and business stakeholders and verify delivered features meet agreed outcomes (conversion, ATV, operational efficiency).

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner delivering complex digital products.
  • Strong experience within ecommerce, marketplaces, or booking platforms.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering platform migrations, re-platforming initiatives, or large-scale technical change programmes.
  • Strong ability to translate high-level business goals and gap analysis into structured, actionable delivery backlogs (epics, features, user stories).
  • Experience working with engineering-led teams, APIs, integrations, and data-driven platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritise effectively and make trade-offs under delivery pressure.
  • Experience ensuring features are aligned to commercial outcomes and measurable business impact.
  • Pragmatic, outcomes-focused mindset.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with indirect channels/partner inventory or commission-based marketplaces; experience with phased migration/parallel-run approaches; previous contract experience in fast-paced product or transformation environments.
