Description

  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Ensure aircraft and associated systems remain in safe operating condition and meet required standards.
  • Perform UAS maintenance in accordance with Zipline’s CAMP, GMM, and FAA regulations.
  • Travel within the service area to complete on-site maintenance of Zipline aircraft systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace parts using manufacturer manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document all work performed.
  • Work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other teams to resolve issues.
  • Meet continuing training requirements to maintain certifications and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Basic engineering knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical integration and assembly.
  • Experience performing precision work with hand tools.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to receive FAA Repairman Certification.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to support shift work, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Must be available to travel 80% during the first month of employment for Zipline training.
  • Must be able to travel 5-10% as needed and 50% for the first 3 months of employment.
  • Subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing due to safety-sensitive classification.
  • Preferred: prior experience in aircraft maintenance or a similar technician role.
  • Preferred: experience using procedure manuals, training materials, and operational procedures for sUAS operations.
  • Preferred: excellent customer service and clear, empathetic communication skills.
