Description

  • Develop and coordinate the corporate Quality Management System to align with Safety Management System and Security Management System requirements.
  • Develop company policies, operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensure audit processes are in place for compliance at both company and product/program levels.
  • Interpret FAA and foreign regulatory standards and determine the required level of compliance.
  • Ensure product and program compliance according to planning documents.
  • Manage teams and identify staffing needs.
  • Identify company and program risks and communicate them to the appropriate parties for timely resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities for quality assurance matters.
  • Monitor new and emerging standards that may apply to the company or program.
  • Manage and report assurance and certification risks for escalation and resolution.
  • Represent SkyGrid at relevant industry organizations and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a highly technical aerospace-related industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance for highly complex systems (DAL C and higher).
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Experience leading quality assurance audits with regulators throughout the full program development lifecycle.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to participate in regulatory-focused discussions.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently.
  • Experience presenting concisely to large groups, including customers, regulatory authorities, internal technical teams, and leadership, preferred.
  • Familiarity with certification standards such as 14 CFR Part 23, 25, 27, or 29, preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of quality processes and guidelines established by ARP-4754, RTCA DO-178C, and DO-254.
  • Familiarity with QMS-related standards such as AS9100D, AS9100, or ISO 9000.
  • Hybrid work preferred, with the role also eligible to be fully remote.
