Description

  • Administer Oracle Portal and core databases supporting DOE applications across development, sandbox, test, performance, training, and production environments.
  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain Oracle Fusion Middleware products, including WebLogic Server, WebCenter, OID, and OAM.
  • Design and support Oracle SSO, OID, OAM, and Universal Content Management solutions.
  • Administer and tune WebLogic domains, managed servers, clusters, and data sources.
  • Monitor databases and middleware with Oracle Enterprise Manager and automate proactive issue response.
  • Support data warehouse design, ETL performance, storage management, and capacity planning.
  • Administer on-premises and cloud-hosted databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
  • Implement database and middleware security policies, SSL/TLS certificate management, backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Resolve production defects, remediate cybersecurity findings, coordinate Oracle Critical Patch Update testing and deployments, and maintain system documentation and SOPs.
  • Conduct database health checks, support A&A/ATO activities and data calls, and evaluate Oracle AI Database 26ai features for DOE modernization.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience; or 6–8 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • At least two-thirds of relevant experience as a DBA or middleware administrator supporting Oracle OID, OAM, and SSO in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Database utilities and tools, including Oracle Enterprise Manager.
  • Strong experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, security management, and data integrity.
  • Knowledge of load balancers, storage, cloud environments, Windows Server, and IIS.
  • Experience with code migration, database change management, and data management throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Oracle Portal/WebCenter, Oracle Federal Financials, Oracle Hyperion, data warehouse administration, or federal ATO/A&A processes (preferred).
  • Experience with OCI or Microsoft Azure Oracle workloads, Oracle AI Database 26ai, and relevant Oracle or Azure certifications (preferred).
