Description

  • Support testing, integration, training, and maintenance for the Block II Tactical Relay program.
  • Install, operate, maintain, and train users on Block II Tactical Relay family of systems.
  • Perform proactive analysis and preventative maintenance on customer VSAT, voice, video, and network systems worldwide.
  • Configure hardware, add, remove, and replace hardware components, and perform software upgrades and maintenance.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve hardware, software, and cable infrastructure issues.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain customer systems globally as needed.
  • Conduct fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.
  • Maintain inventory of customer-assigned equipment worldwide.
  • Prepare technical documentation such as management plans, status reports, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Communicate technical information clearly with internal teams, customers, and military personnel at all levels.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of pertinent satellite system operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. military satellite communications systems, procedures, and practices, including space segment provisioning and gateway operations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with RF signal flow and fault isolation.
  • Experience with satellite access techniques including FDMA and TDMA.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in routing and switching.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems administration.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an active Top Secret security clearance or higher; clearance will not be sponsored.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 or higher certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with 5+ years of experience, or associate’s degree in an engineering field with 7+ years of experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with 12+ years of experience.
  • Experience with multicasts is preferred.
  • Current or recent experience with tactical satellite communications is preferred.
  • Cisco CCNA certification is ideal.
