Description

  • Establish and maintain third-party risk standards and governance practices with IT, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Conduct vendor due diligence and ongoing monitoring, including consumer-impact risk, complaint analysis, and privacy and data protection checks.
  • Manage third-party risk documentation and reporting, including vendor and data processor inventories.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding due diligence and periodic compliance reviews.
  • Execute day-to-day risk assessments to determine vendor criticality and inherent risks such as PII handling, BSA/AML, and credit decisioning.
  • Work with Legal to ensure effective contracts are in place for third-party relationships.
  • Partner with Information Security to validate technical safeguards of third-party vendors.
  • Identify, track, and escalate risk events or performance failures to senior leadership and bank partners.
  • Maintain audit readiness for bank partners and regulators across the vendor management lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in vendor risk management, procurement, or third-party compliance.
  • Experience in the fintech or regulated financial services industry, preferred.
  • Understanding of third-party risk management lifecycle and regulatory guidance such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GLBA, and BSA/AML.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of vendor assessments.
  • Experience maintaining audit readiness for bank partners and regulators.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $5,000 - $7,500 USD gross per month.
  • Compensation may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, and market data.
  • Contractor role with full-time status indicated in the posting.
