Description

  • Define security architecture and engineering standards for web, API, cloud-native, and AI systems.
  • Lead threat modeling, security design reviews, and risk prioritization.
  • Architect cloud security controls across identity, network, and data layers, including IAM, secrets management, and encryption.
  • Integrate security automation, shift-left detection, and policy-as-code into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead detection engineering, logging, and incident response across production systems.
  • Own security for AI and LLM applications, including defenses against prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, and agentic-AI threats.
  • Partner with product, engineering, leadership, data, and client teams to align security strategy with business outcomes.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through coaching, code reviews, and problem-solving.
  • Own ambiguous, high-stakes security initiatives through production while balancing reliability, cost, and safety.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional security or software engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading application and cloud security initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in application security, secure coding practices, and the OWASP Top 10.
  • Experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and secure code review.
  • Deep cloud security expertise across identity, network, and data layers.
  • Experience embedding security automation and policy-as-code into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with detection engineering, logging, and incident response at scale.
  • Experience securing AI and LLM-powered applications, including prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, and agentic-AI threats.
  • Experience with security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving in ambiguous environments.
  • Expertise using AI-forward tools such as Claude and Cursor; role requires US work location.
