Description

  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.
  • Build web page elements and applications using HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and other web technologies.
  • Integrate data from back-end services and databases.
  • Troubleshoot script errors, plugin issues, media integration problems, and website usability issues.
  • Maintain, expand, and scale websites, including Ripple Effect’s websites.
  • Optimize websites for functionality and search engine performance using industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers and other teams to support high-quality website development.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of web development projects.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in government contracting or supporting federal agencies on a web development project.
  • Experience using WordPress and Drupal.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office productivity software and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience with FISMA and 508 compliance.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including requirements gathering.
  • Strong programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages such as JavaScript and Python.
  • Experience with jQuery and other web development libraries and frameworks.
  • Intermediate knowledge of search engine optimization processes.
  • Strong problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs.
  • Intermediate experience with AI tools, including limitations, risks, and project management use cases.
  • Experience advising on incorporating AI tools into websites for chatbots and other uses.
