Description

Create process plans, standard operating procedures, inspection plans, work holding designs, and supporting documentation for machined parts.
Improve manufacturing processes by developing and deploying new technologies and methodologies.
Advise upstream partners on design for manufacturability methods.
Communicate manufacturing, fixturing, and inspection approaches for design concepts, GD&T requirements, and datum structures.
Recommend new or updated designs that improve manufacturability.
Analyze and improve processes that create non-conforming hardware.
Investigate root causes of manufacturing issues and determine corrective actions.
Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to support part and process development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a comparable STEM field.
6+ years of machining experience.
Knowledge of GD&T.
4+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, or Supply Chain.
Knowledge of metrology and dimensional inspection methods (preferred).
Proficiency in CAD and CAM software (preferred).
Understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies (preferred).
Knowledge of fixture design and stack-up analysis (preferred).
