Description

  • Conduct technical discovery workshops and application portfolio assessments to map dependencies, cloud readiness, and migration complexity.
  • Deploy and configure discovery tools and analyze assessment data to categorize workloads, build TCO models, and create business cases for migration.
  • Design target cloud architectures, landing zones, hybrid connectivity, migration roadmaps, cutover plans, and rollback procedures.
  • Execute server, database, and storage migrations using platform-native and third-party migration tools, including replication, testing, validation, and cutover coordination.
  • Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code and implement networking, identity, security controls, backup/DR, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with application teams to refactor legacy workloads for cloud-native patterns (containers, serverless, managed services) and identify modernization opportunities.
  • Provide post-migration support including hypercare, cost optimization, performance tuning, monitoring, and operational handoff to customer teams.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, present architectures and progress to technical and executive audiences, facilitate workshops, and deliver knowledge transfer and documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, security/compliance teams, vendors, and junior team members; participate in design reviews and troubleshoot migration issues in real time.

Requirements

  • Experience leading end-to-end cloud migration and modernization engagements across multiple public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with platform-native migration services and third-party migration tools for servers, databases, and storage.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation (or equivalent).
  • Experience designing hybrid connectivity solutions (site-to-site VPN, dedicated interconnects, transit architectures) and multi-account/subscription landing zones with governance and identity management.
  • Experience implementing cloud security controls (IAM policies, encryption, logging, monitoring) and meeting compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with application modernization approaches including containerization, serverless, managed services, and CI/CD pipeline establishment.
  • Ability to perform cost optimization, rightsizing, reserved capacity planning, autoscaling, storage tiering, and performance tuning.
  • Strong client-facing skills including workshop facilitation, presenting to technical and executive stakeholders, and delivering knowledge transfer and documentation.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for real-time migration issues and experience performing post-migration validation (functionality, performance, security).
