Description

  • Program tables, figures, listings, and derived datasets according to request specifications.
  • Perform quality control checks and complete QC documentation for programming plans, specifications, outputs, and derived datasets.
  • Follow project management procedures and support day-to-day programming tasks as requested by management.
  • Communicate effectively with the OR team and other project stakeholders.
  • Use and manipulate data stored in SQL databases and work with longitudinal data sources.
  • Understand and modify SAS macros as needed.
  • Review available resources to locate required information for programming work.
  • Provide input on improvements to processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Support the training and development of other programmers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer care are delivered across projects.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of statistical software packages, particularly SAS.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent, preferably in a numerate discipline.
  • PC skills.
  • Good organisational skills and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with advanced SQL and SAS in Real World Data environments (preferred).
  • Technical experience handling large datasets (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of statistical models used in Outcomes Research (preferred).
