Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain Python pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver datasets for model training and inference.
  • Own the feature store by defining storage and access patterns for large-scale feature datasets.
  • Build and maintain model serving infrastructure, including deployment, versioning, scaling, and rollback.
  • Develop data quality and drift detection systems to catch issues before they affect production model performance.
  • Establish reusable Python and pipeline patterns that set the team’s data engineering standards.
  • Work closely with ML Engineers to support training, validation, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
  • Design data architectures that balance cost, latency, reliability, and future scale.
  • Operate infrastructure in production and continuously improve it through fast iteration and continuous delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience building pipelines and infrastructure that directly support machine learning workflows, not just ETL.
  • Strong Python experience for data engineering and the ability to write maintainable code.
  • Experience with at least some of the following tools: Spark, dbt, Airflow, or Ray.
  • Understanding of the full ML lifecycle, including training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience with feature stores, model registries, and serving layers.
  • Ability to design scalable data architectures with cost, latency, and reliability in mind.
  • Production experience operating data systems and preventing failures before they happen.
  • Experience working with ML infrastructure or ML platform teams (preferred).
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment (preferred).
