Description

  • Conduct high-volume outbound outreach to prospective clinical trial participants.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound patient inquiries and recruitment leads.
  • Pre-screen participants using study-specific eligibility criteria and document responses accurately.
  • Schedule qualified participants for screening visits and coordinate next steps with site and study teams.
  • Follow up with patients to improve show rates, maintain engagement, and reduce participation barriers.
  • Maintain accurate records in CTMS, scheduling tools, screening logs, and recruitment platforms.
  • Track outreach activity, patient responses, scheduling status, and recruitment metrics.
  • Communicate patient status, recruitment progress, and potential issues to leadership, site teams, coordinators, and support staff.
  • Apply clinical research protocols, Good Clinical Practice, FDA regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assist with obtaining medical records to confirm potential participant eligibility.

Requirements

  • Experience in patient recruitment, call center operations, clinical research support, healthcare customer service, sales, or another high-volume outreach environment.
  • Strong professional phone presence and ability to build trust quickly.
  • Experience handling both inbound and outbound patient communication.
  • Empathetic, patient, and clear communication skills with strong attention to study-specific accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document information across multiple systems.
  • Comfort with medical terminology and protocol-driven eligibility questions.
  • Technical aptitude with databases, scheduling tools, spreadsheets, CTMS platforms, or patient tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining team communication.
  • Prior clinical research, patient recruitment, patient engagement, vaccine, infectious disease, or high-enrollment trial experience preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or higher, or a CNA, medical assistant, or healthcare-related background preferred.
