Description

  • Deliver engaging, individualized virtual instruction tailored to each student's IEP goals, accommodations, and learning profile.
  • Create structured lesson plans aligned with student goals, grade-level standards, and required accommodations or modifications.
  • Adapt instruction in real time based on student questions, progress, and engagement.
  • Track student progress and communicate effectively with families and, when applicable, school district partners.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group tutoring support to students across the country.
  • Work within assignments that may operate in Pacific Time and adjust availability accordingly.
  • Select tutoring jobs that match your expertise and preferred schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education needs.
  • Background as a credentialed SPED teacher, paraprofessional, interventionist, or tutor is acceptable.
  • Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and common accommodations such as extended time, chunked instruction, and multi-sensory approaches.
  • Ability to design and deliver lesson plans aligned to student goals and accommodations.
  • Strong virtual instruction skills, including comfort with video conferencing and digital whiteboards.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable computer, internet, webcam, and quiet workspace are required.
  • Active or previous teaching credential, especially in Special Education, is preferred.
  • Experience with Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading, or structured literacy is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
