Description

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in veterinary science subjects, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, clinical skills, internal medicine, surgical nursing, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory procedures.
  • Tailor instruction to each student’s needs, learning style, and academic goals.
  • Support students preparing for exams such as the NAVLE, VTNE, midterms, and finals.
  • Use virtual teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, whiteboards, and screen sharing to deliver interactive sessions.
  • Track student progress and communicate feedback effectively.
  • Stay current with veterinary education standards and curricula.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students.
  • Work with students on a flexible schedule based on their needs in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Requirements

  • DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree or LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) certification.
  • Strong academic foundation in veterinary sciences.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
  • Comfortable using online platforms and digital teaching tools.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on student needs in Pacific Standard Time (PST).
  • Previous tutoring, mentoring, or teaching experience is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with common veterinary exams such as NAVLE and VTNE is preferred.
  • Experience in small and large animal medicine or specialty areas is preferred.
  • Active veterinary license or technician certification in good standing is preferred.
