Description

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in veterinary science subjects, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, clinical skills, internal medicine, surgical nursing, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory procedures.
Tailor instruction to each student’s needs, learning style, and academic goals.
Support students preparing for exams such as the NAVLE, VTNE, midterms, and finals.
Use virtual teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, whiteboards, and screen sharing to deliver interactive sessions.
Track student progress and communicate feedback effectively.
Stay current with veterinary education standards and curricula.
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for students.
Work with students on a flexible schedule based on their needs in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Requirements

DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree or LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) certification.
Strong academic foundation in veterinary sciences.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
Comfortable using online platforms and digital teaching tools.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
Availability to work a flexible schedule based on student needs in Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Previous tutoring, mentoring, or teaching experience is a strong plus.
Familiarity with common veterinary exams such as NAVLE and VTNE is preferred.
Experience in small and large animal medicine or specialty areas is preferred.
Active veterinary license or technician certification in good standing is preferred.
