Description

  • Lead the development, testing, implementation, and support of clinical databases from startup through post-lock.
  • Own assigned projects and ensure on-time delivery while communicating project status to internal teams and study stakeholders.
  • Forecast project hours, identify resource needs, manage budgets, and flag out-of-scope work and post-production changes.
  • Guide database design and provide input to clients and internal teams on clinical database architecture.
  • Build, validate, and support clinical databases, programs, and related applications.
  • Provide system administration and advanced technical support for internally developed applications, client projects, and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and clinical database issues.
  • Develop and maintain study-specific validation documents.
  • Support data management activities from CRF design through database close, archival, and related handoffs.
  • Participate in SOP development, process documentation, vendor selection, EDC demonstrations, and training sessions.
  • Mentor junior programmers, support onboarding of new hires, and train project team members and end users.
  • Communicate with sponsors, vendors, and project teams and present software or department trainings as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of related experience.
  • Professional working proficiency in English required.
  • Professional use of English, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or VBS.
  • Understanding of CDISC standards such as CDASH, SDTM, and ADaM.
  • Experience in clinical database management system development.
  • Experience in a clinical, scientific, or healthcare discipline.
  • Proficiency in more than one CDMS system, including building forms, edit checks, and complex rule development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support technical issues and build solutions.
  • Broad knowledge of drug, device, and/or biologic development and effective data management practices.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred experience in multiple therapeutic areas, especially Oncology.
  • Preferred experience with various database programming systems.
  • May require some travel.
