Description

Serve as the technical lead of a cross-functional product trio, owning technical strategy and feasibility alongside Product and Design.
Set the architectural direction for subscription growth experiments across NFHS Network, GoFan, and MaxPreps.
Design, implement, and measure rapid experiments to improve conversion, retention, and engagement.
Build internal tooling and experiment scaffolding that increases the pod’s velocity over time.
Improve experiment cycle time by addressing tooling, process, or infrastructure bottlenecks.
Establish and uphold experiment hygiene standards, including feature flags, validated instrumentation, and preserved Core Web Vitals.
Drive resolution of cross-team technical dependencies when work requires coordination beyond the pod.
Mentor engineers through code and design reviews that spread knowledge and raise quality.
Leverage AI coding tools and agent-assisted workflows to accelerate delivery and improve output quality.

Requirements

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including time at staff level or equivalent.
Deep focus on consumer subscription growth.
A track record of technical leadership beyond a single team, especially in growth, experimentation, or subscription infrastructure.
Direct experience driving revenue outcomes such as conversion, ARPU, retention, or LTV at scale.
Full-stack experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and a frontend framework such as Vue.js or React.
Experience with Node.js and comfort working in Ruby on Rails for a subscription stack.
Hands-on experience with subscription growth systems such as Stripe or equivalent, Segment, Amplitude, LaunchDarkly, or Statsig.
Strong architectural judgment for experimentation infrastructure or subscription surfaces.
Ability to write SQL, use product analytics tools, and evaluate experiment validity.
Active use of AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar, with willingness to share best practices.
Bonus: experience building internal growth tooling that improved experiment velocity at an organization level.
Bonus: native mobile or CTV experience, especially Roku or Fire TV.
Bonus: experience in sports media or OTT streaming.
