Description

Inspect underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities to verify compliance with client and regulatory standards.
Perform audits, inspections, and pole transfers in the field.
Document inspection findings electronically and, when needed, on printed spreadsheets.
Use mapping and GPS tools to locate and verify plant infrastructure.
Communicate with client and vendor management by email and cellular phone.
Interface with construction crews, vendors, and client stakeholders to keep projects on track.
Maintain records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
Travel to field sites as needed, including occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

Previous experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew.
Experience conducting wooden pole ground line inspections.
Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards and working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
Familiarity with mapping tools such as Microsoft MapPoint (preferred, not required).
Comfort with internet use and web-based applications.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Experience managing construction contractors in the field.
Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel on short notice.
Must reside within one hour of Butte or the surrounding area.

Base pay range of $26 to $33 USD per hour.
