Description

  • Manage month-end close, financial statements, workpapers, reconciliations, AP, AR, and general ledger activities across multiple clients.
  • Process payroll, manage payroll-system onboarding, and complete U.S. state sales tax filings.
  • Build financial reports and dashboards, analyze performance, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Communicate directly with U.S. business owners and translate financial results into practical business insights.
  • Manage client deliverables, deadlines, questions, and accounting issues with proactive communication.
  • Review and improve accounting workflows, documentation, internal controls, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Prioritize responsibilities independently and regularly communicate progress, risks, issues, and deadlines to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and client-ready records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience, including full-cycle accounting.
  • Experience managing multiple U.S.-based client accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong practical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, and U.S. sales tax.
  • Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise.
  • Experience with AP or expense platforms such as Ramp or Bill.com.
  • Experience with payroll platforms such as Gusto, ADP, or Paylocity; Gusto experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Data Tables, and advanced formulas.
  • Excellent spoken and written English with confidence communicating with U.S. business owners.
  • Strong client-service, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in outsourced accounting, CAS, fractional CFO, CPA, construction, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, home services, or other field-service businesses preferred; 3+ years with previous employers preferred.
