Description

  • Design and own the company’s core AI infrastructure, including shared systems, integration patterns, and runtime environments.
  • Make foundational architecture decisions around model selection, abstraction, orchestration, data access, and deployment standards.
  • Build platform capabilities that let teams extend the system independently for new use cases.
  • Create operational tooling such as logging, evals, cost tracking, latency monitoring, and feedback loops.
  • Design and build the agent framework and reusable skill library for automating workflows and connecting systems.
  • Define interfaces, contracts, and composition patterns for building new agents and skills.
  • Support teams from idea to implementation by providing scaffolding, guidance, and technical support.
  • Create internal tooling, documentation, and onboarding paths that make the platform accessible across the company.
  • Partner with Product and internal customers to identify AI opportunities, improve workflows, and evolve the platform based on real usage.
  • Define standards for safety, reliability, quality, and responsible AI adoption across teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful depth in platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling.
  • Experience building shared systems that other engineers build on.
  • Hands-on experience with production AI systems such as LLM integrations, tool-using agents, retrieval pipelines, or comparable work.
  • A track record of enabling other builders to work confidently with AI systems.
  • Strong instincts for API and abstraction design.
  • Familiarity with MCP or similar tool-use and integration patterns.
  • Experience scoping and delivering greenfield technical work.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional alignment without formal authority.
  • Clear understanding of the gap between demo-quality AI and production-ready AI.
  • Experience with multi-agent orchestration frameworks is preferred.
  • Background in internal developer platforms, enablement engineering, or technical program leadership is preferred.
  • Experience defining and rolling out engineering standards across a multi-team organization is preferred.
