Description

  • Build new product capabilities and features that help utility companies manage risks related to climate change, wildfires, and storms.
  • Contribute to improving product performance and scalability so the platform can support 3x year-over-year growth.
  • Increase product velocity by reducing time to value for new capabilities.
  • Reduce manual work required to ingest vegetation analysis into customer-facing applications.
  • Partner closely with product, design, and tech leads on key initiatives.
  • Mentor other engineers from time to time.
  • Design and implement scalable and resilient systems.
  • Collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, distributed team environment.

Requirements

  • Based in GMT/WET, CET, EET, or Eastern North America time zones for team overlap.
  • Proven full stack development experience with Python/FastAPI, React/TypeScript, Postgres, and data pipelines.
  • Python experience is a core requirement.
  • Recent experience in a build-it, run-it environment using GCP, Cloud Run, Grafana, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in a high-growth scaleup environment across distributed, remote teams.
  • Deep commitment to tackling the climate crisis.
  • Product mindset with a strong understanding of how technology drives business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning, mentorship, and keeping up with evolving technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience with maps, imagery, or geospatial domains is preferred.
  • Experience working on globally distributed teams is preferred.
