Description

  • Hire and manage a team of Oscar colleagues, including performance management, growth support, and HR administrative tasks.
  • Manage team outcomes by monitoring dashboards, tracking operational KPIs, and performing root-cause analysis with action plans when issues arise.
  • Stay closely connected to the team’s daily work and make volume-based decisions that best serve customers.
  • Lead team huddles, communicate mission and goals, and provide guidance and motivation to achieve daily operational objectives.
  • Support engagement by building an inclusive team culture aligned with Oscar’s core values.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts that improve and develop production team processes.
  • Identify gaps in existing operational workflows and help close them.
  • Collaborate across production and other Oscar teams to implement best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced operations or customer service environment.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with LEAN practices.
  • 1+ year of experience working with BPO vendors.
  • Experience working with teams across multiple locations and multiple disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Prior healthcare and/or insurance experience (preferred).
  • Advanced Google Suite or Microsoft Office capabilities (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience solving complex inquiries (preferred).
  • 1+ year of experience managing projects (preferred).

  • Base salary of $55,890 to $73,355 per year.
