Description

  • Handle daily customer interactions and back-office tasks following standard operating procedures in a high-volume health insurance environment.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Oscar processes, procedures, and tools related to the business model.
  • Work with members, brokers, providers, and vendors across multiple channels according to assignment needs.
  • Manage an assigned caseload while maintaining service delivery, productivity, and quality expectations.
  • Form and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor and track the health of assigned work-in-progress issues and ensure appropriate turnaround times.
  • Escalate and resolve issues using established escalation pathways and support leadership by identifying recurring problems.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Comply with operational, regulatory, and compliance standards relating to member Personal Health Information (PHI) and all applicable laws.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a high-volume or customer-focused setting.
  • 6+ months of healthcare experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to complete a 5-week full-time training period (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) before transitioning to part-time schedule.
  • Available for one of the part-time schedules: Mon–Fri 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. CST OR Mon & Tue 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CST.
  • Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, or Texas and be able to work remotely.
  • Experience manipulating and entering accurate data (preferred).
  • Strong quantitative or analytical skills focused on identifying or solving problems (preferred).
  • Bilingual in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing) is a plus.
  • Advanced Google Suite or Microsoft Office capabilities (preferred).

Benefits

  • Base pay of $19.00 per hour.
  • Eligibility for select employee benefits (part-time eligibility varies).
  • Vacation accrual of up to 64 hours per year.
  • Remote work (Oscar’s blended work culture) — note: must reside in AZ, FL, GA, or TX.
  • 5-week paid full-time training period prior to starting part-time schedule.
