Description

  • Own the full Shopping and PMax account architecture, including campaign tiers, priorities, listing groups, custom labels, negative structures, and feed-driven segmentation.
  • Ensure structural scalability across tens of thousands of campaigns and millions of SKUs, including automation of campaign creation, routing, and lane governance.
  • Control the interplay between PMax and Standard Shopping to balance margin, traffic shaping, and signal control.
  • Design and maintain complex segmentation frameworks for product eligibility, performance cohorts, and commercial signals.
  • Own CSS account strategy, including bid separation logic, feed-exclusion rules, and commission or auction mechanics optimization.
  • Own Merchant Center health, including schema, feed rules, disapprovals, diagnostics, and error remediation.
  • Build advanced labelling systems for commercial signals, product scoring, seller quality, and activation logic.
  • Translate commercial conditions such as margin, fee bands, and seller activation into schema logic.
  • Optimize toward incremental GMV and contribution rather than ROAS, using propensity modeling outputs, EXTA parameters, decile segmentation, and SKU-level economics.
  • Lead the Daily Trading Room, identify opportunities and issues, and deploy rapid interventions.
  • Work with Data and BI teams to operationalize performance-based routing, activation logic, and bidding exposure rules.
  • Own wastage reduction across query sculpting, negative hygiene, asset group discipline, budget pacing, and low-value SKU suppression.
  • Own campaign-lane health by monitoring lane density and merging or splitting structural segments as needed.
  • Own and improve tracking approaches across PMax, Shopping profit frameworks, and revenue tracking systems.
  • Partner with Data Science and vendors to operationalize segmentation, validate performance claims, and govern automation changes.

Requirements

  • True expert in Google Shopping and PMax, including priorities, campaign types, listing groups, negative logic, feed rules, schema versioning, and Merchant Center troubleshooting.
  • Deep Merchant Center expertise and hands-on ownership of schema troubleshooting, attribute debugging, disapproval resolution, and feed-rule design.
  • Experience operating in a multi-million SKU marketplace environment.
  • Strong analytical capability and comfort with experimentation.
  • Proven experience designing Google Shopping/PMax architecture, including campaign tiering, listing-group design, negative-logic frameworks, and feed-driven segmentation.
  • Ability to build and maintain custom label frameworks tied to commercial logic such as margin tiers, stock states, product groups, and performance segmentation.
  • Experience managing Shopping/PMax for large catalogues at scale, with 100,000+ SKUs minimum and ideally 1M+ SKUs.
  • Demonstrated capability implementing SKU-level contribution or profit-based bidding logic.
  • Ability to control PMax signal pathways by preventing contamination, isolating high-value SKUs, and shaping traffic using feed-level engineering.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues across the full chain from Feed to Merchant Center to Ads to PMax or Shopping.
  • Experience with inventory filtering and multi-tier segmentation such as L1/L2/L3 or equivalent layered Shopping systems.
  • Hands-on experience with feed tools such as Channable, DataFeedWatch, Intelligent Reach, or custom internal feeds beyond surface-level usage.
  • Ability to run structured architecture tests such as campaign consolidation, label schema redesigns, and feed experiments.
  • Familiarity with profitability modelling or dynamic pricing, preferred.
  • Experience with BI tools or SQL, preferred.
  • Experience with automation such as scripts or feed tools, preferred.
