Description

  • Own the end-to-end Trust & Safety product strategy and prioritized roadmap.
  • Build proactive fraud-prevention capabilities, including a Risk Engine, data-signal intelligence, anomaly detection, and investigation tooling.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science to develop and launch real-time detection and decisioning systems using ML, LLMs, and behavioral signals.
  • Balance fraud mitigation with user experience and marketplace growth through evidence-based trade-off decisions.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate Trust & Safety metrics, including fraud loss, false-positive and false-negative rates, resolution time, trust scores, and financial exposure.
  • Build instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities for fraud rates, model performance, and user impact at scale.
  • Develop business cases for prevention investments, quantify fraud losses and ROI, and secure prioritization and resources.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to deliver compliant safety products.
  • Ensure Trust & Safety products meet local and regional legal, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Present Trust & Safety strategy, risk posture, and outcomes to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Significant product management experience in a high-scale digital consumer platform, marketplace, mobility, e-commerce, classifieds, fintech, or similar environment.
  • Experience owning Trust & Safety, fraud prevention, risk, identity and verification, marketplace integrity, account security, abuse prevention, payments risk, or compliance technology products.
  • Proven ability to build scalable systems that proactively detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud, abuse, or risk.
  • Strong analytical, data-driven product management skills, including defining success metrics, measuring impact, and prioritizing based on evidence.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and vendors in regulated or high-risk environments.
  • Experience with machine learning, AI, risk scoring, decisioning, detection, recommendation, or automation systems; hands-on AI-powered trust or fraud product experience is preferred.
  • Ability to balance user experience, operational efficiency, marketplace growth, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strategy and execution across multiple teams.
  • Experience building and iterating data science products at scale.
  • Experience building trust, risk, fraud, or safety products across international markets and regulatory environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with emerging regulations and industry trends affecting online platforms, marketplaces, payments, AI, and consumer trust is preferred.
