Description

  • Recruit, build, and mentor a high-performing global team of AI Security Advisors to serve as Okta’s centralized technical expertise backbone.
  • Develop repeatable playbooks, runbooks, and operational processes (“The Engine”) to drive consistent sales velocity and technical delivery.
  • Serve as the primary executive AI authority for Okta’s portfolio, partnering with the CPO, CISO, and engineering leaders to influence AI-first product and security innovations.
  • Oversee high-impact proofs-of-concept (POCs) and outcome mapping to ensure technical delivery matches customer vision and enterprise requirements.
  • Drive measurable business impact by meeting AI Product SKU targets, building the technical pipeline, and ensuring customer health and AI SKU adoption.
  • Direct post-sales technical strategy to identify upsell/expansion opportunities and produce implementation guides that reduce manual effort and prevent churn.
  • Formalize a feedback loop to funnel field insights back to Product to close technical gaps and ensure solutions fit complex customer environments.
  • Lead creation and global scaling of standardized reference architectures, whitepapers, and lab assets; represent Okta’s AI strategy at conferences, analyst briefings, and through partner alliances.

Requirements

  • Prior leadership experience at the CTO/Field CTO/Distinguished Architect or director level in a cybersecurity or SaaS company.
  • 10+ years of deep domain experience in identity, cybersecurity, AI, or data science.
  • Comprehensive understanding of AI/ML (including anomaly detection and LLMs) and agentic frameworks (A2A, MCP, and related protocols).
  • Proven executive presence with a track record of shaping cybersecurity strategy and credibility with enterprise CISOs and boards.
  • Demonstrated operational mindset and experience driving technical customer success, health monitoring, and scaled expansion beyond initial sale.
  • Advanced degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • Willingness to engage in external evangelism and build strategic alliances with cloud and AI partners, and to travel to office locations for onboarding as required.

Benefits

  • San Francisco Bay Area OTE range: $308,000—$462,000 USD (annual, includes base + incentive).
  • OTE range for CA (excl. SF Bay Area), CO, IL, NY, and WA: $248,000—$413,000 USD (annual, includes base + incentive).
