Description

  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly progress billings and forecasts in line with contract requirements, milestones, and schedules of values.
  • Manage accounts receivable submissions, tracking, and collections through client financial portals.
  • Collect, track, and execute conditional and unconditional lien waivers for progress and final payments.
  • Coordinate certified payroll, certificates of insurance, bond requirements, and other compliance documentation.
  • Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, labor, materials, equipment expenditures, and forecasts.
  • Partner with Project Managers to track and incorporate approved and pending change orders into billing cycles.
  • Review AR aging and follow up with General Contractor accounting teams to accelerate payment collection.
  • Track retained amounts and ensure timely billing and collection at project closeout.
  • Conduct monthly project financial reviews to reconcile job costs, identify variances, and track contract value and change order updates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including substantial construction-industry and subcontractor billing experience.
  • Hands-on experience submitting complex billing packages to General Contractors.
  • Experience using General Contractor payment portals such as Textura, Procore, GC Pay, or Appay.
  • Thorough knowledge of AIA billing procedures, including AIA G702 forms, schedules of values, percentage-of-completion accounting, and lien requirements.
  • Experience managing lien waivers, forecasts, draws, and subcontractor-to-GC billing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with General Contractor accounting teams, Project Managers, and internal operations teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on industry experience strongly considered.
  • Ability to travel periodically to customer job sites.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Experience with policy as code, infrastructure cost controls, automated compliance evidence, FedRAMP, multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure, cloud platforms, or early-stage cloud/platform operations is preferred.
