Description

  • Lead the design and evolution of data systems that move, transform, and expose data across the platform.
  • Build and scale ingestion pipelines from external financial partners.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and services that support data integrations and downstream product experiences.
  • Own data flows end to end, from raw ingestion through warehouse standardization to API and production-system consumption.
  • Shape the data layer that supports internal analytics and customer-facing product functionality.
  • Champion data governance, industry best practices, and efficient processing techniques.
  • Identify and address technical debt and developer experience gaps across data and service layers.
  • Provide architectural leadership to ensure scalable, resilient, high-quality implementations.
  • Mentor and elevate fellow engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Align technical contributions with company objectives and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and production-grade workflow development.
  • Expert-level SQL and Python experience, especially in Snowflake and dbt.
  • Experience designing reliable, production-grade data workflows and parsing or normalizing messy real-world data.
  • Experience building and operating CDC systems that sync data into and out of warehouses.
  • Experience building or integrating APIs and services.
  • Familiarity with tools such as DMS, OpenFlow, Airflow, Kafka, Debezium, and S3, or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing scalable data and AI systems across RDBMS, data warehouses, NoSQL, and graph databases.
  • Experience with modern AI architectures such as agentic workflows, RAG, agent context and memory, and tools like MCP, LangChain, and LangGraph.
  • Experience beyond core data tooling, such as backend services, APIs, or full-stack systems; Go or TypeScript is a strong plus.
  • Strong technical leadership experience, including mentoring, speaking internally or at conferences, and solving difficult technical problems.
  • Experience with agentic AI developer tools such as Claude Code, Devin, or Cursor.
  • Experience with ML systems or ML engineering pipelines is a strong plus.
