Description

  • Serve as the primary technical lead for successful installation, commissioning, upgrade and go-live cutovers of customer solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites (and support remotely) to install hardware, virtualization platforms, Windows components and NiCE applications.
  • Configure servers (COTS and NiCE), build virtualization platforms and perform hands-on hardware installation and replacement.
  • Install and integrate software components including Windows updates, security/anti-virus, telephony integration software and NiCE recording/monitoring applications.
  • Integrate NiCE solutions with customer networks, PBX/CTI environments and telephony systems (including SIP/VoIP and other telephony interfaces).
  • Troubleshoot and own escalated technical issues through resolution, coordinating with support personnel and project managers.
  • Execute and complete detailed Installation Test Procedures (ITPs) and provide signed ITPs, site documentation and as-builts at project completion.
  • Communicate status and manage customer expectations, coordinate with project managers, and provide customer-sensitive and internal status updates throughout implementations.
  • Train technical users on system administration and provide knowledge sharing; add lessons learned to the knowledgebase.
  • Maintain accurate time reporting and ticketing updates, and hand off documentation to support teams for long-term maintenance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant field/implementation experience working at customer sites (not internal help-desk) and providing high-level customer service.
  • AS/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree preferred (or demonstrable extended experience of 10 years)
  • Security+ certification required; A+, network, HP, MCSE, MCP and other vendor certifications (Cisco, Citrix, telephony products) preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server (2008–2019), MS SQL Server (2008–2017) and MySQL, including SQL installation and scripting.
  • Strong networking and routing knowledge including firewalls, packet analysis (Wireshark), XML/JSON and experience with Active Directory/SSO and IIS.
  • Experience with telephony technologies and protocols (SIP, SIPREC, ISDN, T1, digital and analog telephony) and familiarity with systems such as Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Airbus Vesta and West Viper.
  • Proven hardware skills (install/replace drives, NICs, memory, CPU components) and experience building virtualization platforms; HP server experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Visio and scripting with PowerShell; familiarity with SQL encryption, certificate-based data encryption and Log4Net logs.
  • Willingness and availability for extensive travel on short notice and to work outside regular business hours (nights, weekends, holidays) as required.
