Description

  • Develop SysML models for digital mission engineering activities.
  • Use state-of-the-art physics simulation tools to support analysis and development work.
  • Analyze simulation results to inform mission engineering decisions.
  • Review research and development requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze system requirements and propose solutions to meet mission objectives.
  • Assist in documenting system architectures, design decisions, and implementation details.
  • Collaborate with software development, hardware engineering, and cybersecurity teams on cross-functional solutions.
  • Participate in team projects under the guidance of a full-time mentor.
  • Pursue certification in common engineering tools as part of the internship experience.

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Currently majoring in computer science, engineering, MIS, or information technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of internet research methods.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • No prior work history is necessary.
  • Remote work is allowed.
  • Expected availability of approximately 10 hours per week.
  • Start date as soon as possible.
