Description

  • Monitor, identify, and communicate financial expense performance to business partners.
  • Review and approve expense requisitions and flag items outside budget parameters.
  • Develop departmental financial and project expense benchmarks and reporting.
  • Create ad hoc analyses and business forecasts.
  • Support the accounting close process and audit reporting.
  • Design and implement scalable processes and procedures for reporting key business metrics.
  • Identify and drive cost reduction and process improvement projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet financial and corporate goals.
  • Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and Natera policy.
  • Complete required privacy, compliance, and security training and maintain current training status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VBA macros built from scratch, and lookup functions.
  • Strong financial systems and business application skills, including database applications (QlikView preferred).
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve moderate to complex financial issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience supporting an R&D or Engineering organization is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects, interdependencies, and risks.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information within defined policies and practices.
