Description

  • Verify specimen identity and perform required laboratory tests.
  • Analyze clinical laboratory specimens using standard methods and procedures with high accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laboratory methods and practices.
  • Provide general oversight of personnel and day-to-day laboratory operations.
  • Meet expected performance metrics and complete required training and deadlines on time.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with good laboratory practice (GLP).
  • Recognize, troubleshoot, and escalate equipment malfunctions and analytical or processing errors.
  • Document and escalate protocol deviations and assist with nonconformance report documentation.
  • Participate in updating standard operating procedures and related databases to reflect current practices.
  • Support quality control, regulatory documentation, inventory management, workflow coordination, and team training.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
  • Current MT/MLS/CLS certification preferred from ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer, word processing, and data management skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and pipetting skills.
  • Experience in Molecular Biology preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a group and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to provide guidance or training to new Clinical Laboratory Operators and Medical Laboratory Scientists.
