Description

  • Own crypto event-driven research situations from initial analysis through evolving outcomes.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, protocol governance, token unlocks, and special situations.
  • Distinguish material signals from noise and communicate their impact on decisions, positioning, and risk.
  • Identify early, asymmetric trading opportunities based on detailed situational analysis.
  • Maintain and update conviction as facts, incentives, and narratives change.
  • Partner with on-chain and real-time intelligence teams to pressure-test research using proprietary data and tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering to improve research tools and workflows for event-driven trading.
  • Contribute to rigorous debate across research, trading, and engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of information- and flows-driven research or trading experience in a tier-1 buy-side or proprietary trading environment.
  • Experience analyzing event-driven situations involving incomplete information, incentives, and evolving outcomes.
  • Ability to rapidly develop informed views across diverse topics and situations.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity about crypto and ability to ramp up quickly; deep prior crypto experience is not required.
  • Ability to analyze details while maintaining a holistic view of market implications.
  • Ability to form, communicate, and adapt coherent views as situations evolve.
  • Comfort with rigorous debate, constructive challenge, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Background in macro, emerging markets, FX, commodities, event-driven, or special-situations research is preferred.
  • Prior crypto or digital-asset market experience is a plus.
  • Strong writing skills to frame situations and clearly communicate conviction are preferred.
