Description

  • Own the analytical strategy for a product area, including the highest-leverage questions and measurement framework.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to product and engineering leadership on ambiguous business problems and recommendations.
  • Define north-star metrics and measurement strategies to evaluate progress and guide trade-offs.
  • Design and oversee experiments and causal analyses to support product decisions.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of user growth dynamics across acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Contribute to forecasting and growth modeling efforts and translate models into actionable strategies.
  • Mentor other data scientists through code review, methodology guidance, and reusable frameworks.
  • Represent data science in cross-functional forums and advocate for data-backed decisions.
  • Drive alignment across data science, data engineering, and product on data quality, metric definitions, and instrumentation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied quantitative analysis.
  • Track record of shaping product strategy through data.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional analytical initiatives from problem framing through stakeholder alignment to decision.
  • Deep expertise in experimentation (A/B testing) and causal inference.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for analysis, modeling, and validation.
  • Experience defining and owning product metrics used for decision-making.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills with the ability to hold and revise opinions based on evidence.
  • Track record of mentoring or technically leading other data scientists.
