Description

  • Build complex dashboards, billing user interfaces, and documentation platforms using Ruby on Rails and TypeScript.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the platform, including Pub/Sub, Chat, and LiveSync, by using the product directly.
  • Translate loose feature ideas into shipped products with minimal direction.
  • Identify problems independently and propose practical solutions.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code and deliver work to agreed timelines.
  • Provide realistic estimates based on technical complexity and communicate proactively about delivery risks.
  • Monitor features in production and take ownership of quality issues.
  • Own features through their full lifecycle, from initial development to post-launch metrics.

Requirements

  • Expert-level experience with Ruby on Rails and TypeScript.
  • Strong ability to build full-stack applications across backend and frontend layers.
  • Ability to work effectively with vague requirements and minimal hand-holding.
  • Demonstrated focus on high-quality, well-tested code.
  • Ability to provide realistic technical estimates and communicate proactively.
  • Comfort with independently identifying problems and proposing solutions.
  • Experience taking ownership of production quality and feature lifecycle.
  • Freelancer status is required for this role.
