Description

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines that process large volumes of data.
  • Analyze large datasets using Python and SQL.
  • Update and optimize the data platform for speed, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their data needs.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor model performance and data accuracy.
  • Solve general data-related problems and support data operations.
  • Set up new pipelines for the full stream, enrichment, and curation process.
  • Maintain source code locations and related data engineering assets.
  • Investigate and apply ML and AI to improve the cloud offering.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff members.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with accomplishments able to offset experience gaps.
  • Strong leadership experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL.
  • Proficiency with Python.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience using version control tools such as Git.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with data governance is a plus.
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning models is a plus.
  • Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus.
