Description

  • Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls from clients placing meal orders, including de-escalations when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and guiding clients through the ordering process.
  • Input order information accurately into the appropriate client order screen and perform related data entry tasks.
  • Document all client conversations and interactions in the client information database.
  • Ensure all assigned clients are contacted and have a current order on file.
  • Contact case managers via telephone, email, and/or fax when special situations arise regarding a client.
  • Assist clients with reships after completing required training.
  • Assist callers who inquire about the Community Supports benefit and submit self-referrals for those who meet criteria.
  • Notify clients when benefits are ending within 30 days and assist with reauthorization or explain next steps; explain benefit details such as nutritional counseling requirements and timelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be located in Iowa (applicants outside Iowa will not be considered).
  • 1 year of previous customer service experience.
  • Previous knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Clear oral communication skills and previous experience with data entry.
  • Must have a wired broadband internet connection using an ethernet port (Cable Modem/service or Fiber Optic required; no Satellite, 4G/5G, or DSL).
  • Must have a quiet workspace free from distractions.
  • Work availability Monday–Friday 11:00am–8:00pm with potential for overtime.
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists/hands/fingers and to sit for prolonged periods (sedentary work).
  • Preferred: 1 year of previous call center experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates (bilingual pay premium).

  • Starting wage $17.50/hour ($18.50/hour for bilingual candidates).

  • Fully remote position (must be located in Iowa) with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential for overtime.
