Description

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
  • Investigate anomalies and security breaches and take actions to mitigate risk.
  • Integrate security into all phases of the development lifecycle in partnership with IT, software development, and compliance teams.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of security processes, procedures, configurations, and incident reports.
  • Implement continuous monitoring and auditing of solutions for compliance with security controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer.
  • Experience designing and building implementations of required security controls.
  • Experience implementing continuous monitoring and auditing of solutions for compliance with security controls.
  • Senior-level skills with log collection tools such as Splunk, including querying and analysis of aggregated logs.
  • Expert experience with government regulatory frameworks and security standards such as NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
  • Experience implementing controls for data-centric cloud solutions in IL5 to IL6+ environments.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and infrastructure components.
  • Proficiency in incident response, security incident handling, and forensic analysis techniques.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • CISSP or equivalent IAT III certification to support DoD 8140 requirements.
  • Active TS//SCI clearance with CI poly.
  • Experience with compliance-focused cybersecurity work is preferred.
