Description

  • Develop account strategies, territory plans, and quarterly business plans to support customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Prospect for new accounts and business development opportunities across assigned accounts and territory.
  • Secure new customers by spending significant time in the field, managing daily and weekly call schedules, and pursuing repeat orders.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships before, during, and after the sale.
  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Coordinators, Interior Designers, marketing, business development, and support teams throughout the sales and fulfillment process.
  • Engage school, district, architectural, and community stakeholders to build consensus and support change initiatives.
  • Manage existing client renewals and account relationships.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations for prospective clients.
  • Develop expertise in Meteor products and learning experiences and communicate offerings clearly to customers.
  • Prepare sales reports and participate in trade shows and trade organizations for networking and professional development.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of field sales experience with demonstrable results; K-12 education market experience is a plus.
  • Experience prospecting, managing territories, managing time, presenting, negotiating, closing, solving problems, and providing customer service.
  • Experience identifying, qualifying, and closing B2B deals ranging from $5,000 to over $50,000.
  • Consultative selling style with the ability to qualify budget, authority, need, and timing.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work autonomously.
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Strong proficiency with business applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and web searching.
