Description

  • Deliver end-to-end design solutions that are elegant, simple, and effective.
  • Prevent unnecessary complexity from creeping into the product while expanding user capability.
  • Partner with a product manager to define problems, goals, and project scope.
  • Iterate quickly and collaboratively to make ideas tangible and move discussions forward.
  • Develop a deep understanding of users’ needs and mindset using insights from the broader team.
  • Work closely with engineers on tricky technical product problems within a core product team.
  • Communicate design decisions and rationale clearly through speaking and writing.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team across time zones.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience.
  • Strong design instincts and craft developed through hands-on product work.
  • Experience designing rich, complex web applications or tools.
  • Technical fluency to understand what is happening inside engineering systems at a high level.
  • Exceptional communication skills for explaining design decisions and rationale.
  • Comfort working asynchronously and articulating complex ideas remotely.
  • Detail-oriented with a high personal standard for craft.
  • UX research skills are not required, but are welcome.
  • Experience with LLM-based UI prototyping is a bonus.
  • Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React is a bonus.
  • Technical background or education, such as a CS degree, is a bonus.
  • Experience building or using developer tools is a bonus.
