Description

  • Lead the development and execution of MHN’s EMR optimization strategy across partner organizations.
  • Assess current EMR utilization and identify opportunities to improve workflows, quality performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with practices to improve EMR use for preventive care, chronic disease management, and care coordination.
  • Drive adoption of standardized, patient-centered workflows aligned with MHN’s care model.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clinical and operational leaders across MHN’s partner network.
  • Build strong partner relationships through responsiveness, customer service, and subject matter expertise.
  • Deliver training and education to stakeholders from executive leadership to front-line staff.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent capture of clinical and operational data within EMR systems.
  • Partner with analytics and care teams to support reporting on quality measures, risk adjustment, and utilization.
  • Establish processes, tools, and best practices for a scalable EMR optimization function and mentor future team members.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of healthcare experience with a strong focus on EMR optimization, implementation, or clinical informatics.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one leading ambulatory EMR such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, or Greenway.
  • Proven success improving workflows, quality outcomes, or operational efficiency through EMR optimization.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical solutions.
  • Experience working in a client-facing role and building strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders.
  • Experience in value-based care, population health, or working with safety-net providers, with FQHC experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a lead or mentoring capacity with the ability to build and develop teams.
  • Experience with EMR integrations, data exchange tools or standards such as HL7 and FHIR, or reporting tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent relevant experience.
