Description

  • Create visual systems that communicate clear stories and strengthen Marqeta’s brand presence.
  • Produce end-to-end creative for campaigns across multiple channels and brand surfaces.
  • Build wireframes and design visuals for responsive web experiences that support conversion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategic approaches and create effective presentations.
  • Implement and evolve design systems, templates, and automation tools to scale design impact.
  • Partner with data and insights teams to test, optimize, and improve creative work and workflows.
  • Adjust processes to create a more efficient and consistent design workflow.
  • Communicate clearly, stay organized, and follow through in a highly collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in brand design, either in-house or at an agency.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design work across a range of channels and surfaces, plus a clear process.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including brand libraries, variables, and components.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Google Docs.
  • Excellent design fundamentals, including layout, hierarchy, balance, typography, and color theory.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to show process and iteration in your portfolio.
  • Comfort giving and receiving feedback in a constructive, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-moving, dynamic environment and manage time and workload effectively.
  • Motion design experience, 3D capabilities, web UX design experience, B2B/in-house experience, and AI-assisted design workflows are preferred.

  • Base salary range of $98,200–$122,700 nationally, $106,200–$132,800 in Premium locations, or $115,400–$144,300 in Premium Plus locations.
