Description

  • Assist with implementing and monitoring identity and access controls for AWS cloud infrastructure and critical SaaS applications.
  • Contribute to improvements in the company’s IAM posture, including Okta configurations, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and privileged access management.
  • Support the securing of third-party vendor integrations and compliance with identity-related security policies.
  • Help automate identity lifecycle processes such as provisioning and de-provisioning using tools like Okta.
  • Document security policies, procedures, and standards for identity management.
  • Work on projects that improve secure access across Marqeta’s cloud-based systems and services.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational knowledge of identity and access management concepts and authentication/authorization protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
  • Familiarity with AWS and the security challenges of cloud-native, SaaS-heavy environments.
  • Ability and eagerness to learn and take ownership in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment.
  • Prior academic or project experience with Okta or a similar enterprise identity provider is preferred.
  • Strong scripting or programming skills such as Python or Go are preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS IAM roles, policies, and cloud security best practices is preferred.
  • A relevant security certification such as Security+ or CCSP, or coursework in cloud and identity security, is preferred.
  • Availability for a 12-week internship from June 8 through August 28, 2026.
  • Ability to work remotely anywhere within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada.
