Description

  • Build and scale high-throughput streaming data pipelines for large-scale MLS ingestion.
  • Design, implement, and operate pipelines that process 400M+ monthly MLS updates across 350+ integrations.
  • Develop and maintain production-grade datasets that power core product experiences.
  • Create and refine data modeling and transformation logic to balance freshness, accuracy, and cost.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to detect and address issues early.
  • Improve observability and reduce downstream impact from data pipeline failures or inconsistencies.
  • Contribute to AI-driven tooling for triaging, debugging, and resolving data quality issues.
  • Collaborate on platform architecture and data delivery within a fast-moving engineering organization.
  • Lead high-impact initiatives from concept through production in a SaaS environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional data engineering or software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with distributed data processing and streaming systems, including Spark/PySpark and Kafka.
  • Proficiency in Python; experience with Pydantic is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Node/TypeScript is a plus.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines on AWS using tools such as Airflow, Spark Streaming, and Iceberg.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and working with large-scale datasets.
  • Familiarity with event-driven systems and ingestion patterns such as Kafka and SQS.
  • Experience implementing data quality checks, monitoring, and debugging data issues.
  • Interest in applying AI/ML or automation to improve data workflows is a plus.
  • Expert-level grasp of software design principles and experience with multi-tenant platform architectures.
