Description

  • Provide on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for customer systems.
  • Perform moderate PLC program modifications and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls programming issues.
  • Conduct planned and emergency service calls, system audits, walk-downs, and rebuilds on field equipment.
  • Prepare for service visits by reviewing drawings, scope of work documents, budgets, manpower needs, and required tools.
  • Complete service, expense, preventive maintenance contract, system audit, and warranty request reports/forms.
  • Research part numbers, service manuals, and related technical information before and during service calls.
  • Communicate with customers about system issues and review service reports with them.
  • Work with Engineering, Parts, Technical Support, management, and other Field Service Engineers to resolve field and system issues.
  • Assist with equipment installation, subcontractor management, and training of customer maintenance staff and other CSEs.
  • Upsell upgrades and new products to improve customer efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of field service, system maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting experience, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Progressive increase in responsibility in prior roles.
  • Ability to perform on-site field work and travel as needed, including up to 90% overnight U.S. and international travel.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and perform manual tasks using hands and hand controls.
  • Ability to communicate, hear, and work with close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Ability to learn, concentrate, think, and read while working in interactive environments.
  • Experience with material handling equipment, PLCs, or system controls is implied or beneficial.
  • Ability to work with customers, internal teams, and subcontractors in the field.
  • Willingness to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
